Our delivery routes

Why we have pick up points.

A key difference between us and the supermarket home-delivery system is that we don’t do home delivery, except for people who can’t get to a pickup point due to ill health, disability or temporary transport problems. That means that our delivery costs are a lot lower than theirs, we can run a reasonably predictable delivery round, offering free delivery, with no obligation to order every week, and no minimum order size.

Our pick up points on our southern route are located at:
  • Blakeney, Wednesdays, Dean Mowers, 2 – 5pm GL15 4EB

  •  Brain’s Green, Wednesdays 3 – 5.30pm GL15 4AP

  • Bream, Wednesdays, 3:45 – 5pm GL15 6NF

We have a network of local people and places that accept our boxes on delivery day. You might find that it’s a pub, a library, a shop, a farm, someone’s house or garage – or even a garden shed. We’ve done our best to make sure the pick-up point is reasonably safe for you and your food , but you collect at your own risk and may need a torch! You can leave your boxes with them for collection by us, and we need your cold-bags etc back, please!

If you make an order you will get an email within 12 hours of orders closing. This will include the address, opening times for your particular pick up point, and a telephone number for your pick up point host. We ask you to make every effort to collect your box on time, if by any chance you can’t please contact your host and see if they can make alternative arrangements, but remember they may not have space to store items that need a fridge or freezer.

You can also pick up your order from the Food Hub at Oaklands Park near Newnham on either day from 2 -5pm. Home delivery is available for those who really can’t access a pick up point. Please contact us before completing your order if you require this. There is a £2.50 charge for this service.

Wednesdays is our southern route and Fridays is our northern one, so if you are interested in buying from the Hub,  just join the appropriate delivery route, choose your pickup point, and start ordering.

Can I be a pick-up point?

We would love to find other pick up points, and if you can be one yourself we may be able to offer free delivery to your house. If you live outside our normal delivery route we may need to figure out the distribution link too. If you can help with that, even better!

"Thanks for all you do at the food hub. Makes a huge difference to our quality of food. I'm shopping locally and organically without leaving my armchair!"
